As everyone probably knows, Liljohn's account was hacked. This thread will be used to talk about different things u can do to protect your acct.

All officers need to get an authenticator. I encourage everyone in the guild to get one too. It only costs $6 or $7 including shipping. You get it from the Blizzard store. They are currently out of stock (very popular item). It just makes you type in a 6 digit number when you log on. The number changes every 2 minutes. So even if someone key logs your account, they only have 2 minutes to get in before your number changes, making it very unlikely.

People should log onto the Blizzard web site directly, never go thru a link.

Never give anyone your password.

Only download add ons from known sites.

Virus, spam protection, and firewalls are very helpful.

If you have good knowledge, please put a post here. We want to avoid people getting hacked because it isn't a lot of fun.

make sure that you do not use the same password for your email and WoW.

Everyone in the guild should get an authenticator, not just the officers. Agility got hacked and was gone for a couple of weeks. Fortunately, he got all his stuff back. It is really nice knowing your acct won't get hacked, for just $6 or $7.
